The Walled Nursery
Traditional Victorian glasshouse with a vinery café, The Walled Nursery is one of my most favourite lunch spots.
Located in the gorgeous Kent countryside I normally tie it in with a visit to Sissinghurst Castle
I know that before lockdown they were actually on the market to sell so as soon as you can, try and go because it really is worth a visit.
As its a bit of trek from where I live so I have only visited a couple of times but it makes me happy each time. The food is so fresh and they also sell Chapel Down wine which is one of my faves and its a local wine.
You can go inside the greenhouses and admire the succulents which they also sell.
I have a strong collection at home and also in the office. Its fair to say I'm a bit obsessed with plants.
They also run courses and events like wreath making workshops. I made my Christmas wreath here last year which is one of my most favourite traditions that I do every year with my girlfriends. I will write a separate post about that but not yet so I don't get seasonally confused.
Its one of those places where you could have an accident with your purse. The shop sells candles and plant pots galore.
I wish more garden centres were like this, I really don't enjoy the big chain ones.
If you are a crazy plant lady then this is right up your street!
Last year they were running outdoor theatre productions of 'Old Herbaceous' which is a one man show and meant to be really funny.
They also run supper clubs. Again its too far away for me to go but I bet they are really good fun.
I hope I can get to visit in 2020 or even better win the lottery so I can buy it from them!
