Am I the last person to join the opium den?

I have never known or noticed the poppy fields in England and suddenly, the year we have all been asked to stay indoors I have seen them for the first time!

Admittedly I was made aware of them via instagram and after a quick google search of the nearest fields to where I live, Mr Poachie and I hopped in the car and headed poppy bound.

The camera never quite does it justice and I'm only using my iphone but the fields were really impressive.

I swear every time we go to take pictures its a really windy day. Most of the camera roll is me chasing my hat or trying to keep my dress from blowing over my head.

Now I have seen the poppies I have noticed them growing on the sides of the road. They grow where the ground is more chalky and dry so seaside villages are more likely to have them nearby.
