Country Bike

Before I bought my beloved Pashley (who I have named Patsy), I was an avid user of Wearecountrybike

Bike hire made easy, I just had to download the app and then collect the bike from one of the many locations in the Kent countryside.

So many gorgeous country scenes.

The old railway line.

These views!

This is a great wild swimming spot too.

Some of the bikes are available from country pubs so there is nothing more motivating knowing that at the end of the ride you can reward yourself with a large cold vino, huzzah!

Living in this neck of the woods we are surrounded by great cycle routes which keep you off the roads and pedalling through our beautiful countryside.

I much prefer to ride in the late afternoons when it is a bit cooler and the roads are quieter.

I have used Countybike from six of their locations. My favourite ride is the old railway line from Groombridge to Forest Row, its nice and flat and super pretty. Also, if you get thirsty, you can stop off at Hartfield, which is about halfway, and visit the Anchor Inn or The Gallipot Inn.
The Anchor Inn is also one of Country Biles locations so if you don't want to do the full ride you could start halfway in Hartfield.

The Ashdown Forest is perfect if you like stunning views but my word the roads are hilly and hard work!

The website has downloadable routes and it charges you per hour.

Even during the lockdown we were able to rent the bikes, the owner of the company kindly reserved some bikes for us. Despite now owning my own bike I would still recommend others using it as its the most fun you can have with your clothes on 😆

The bikes come in three sizes; 16, 18 or 20 inches.

As I have no followers its probably self explanatory that this isn't an ad but as everyone seems to have to declare these things nowadays, I just thought I would write about it as I think its a really great company.
