Autumn Spectacular! Sheffield Park

Visiting Sheffield Park for the Autumn spectacular is one of my favourite traditions. The colours are amazing and its how I imagine Canada to look.

Mr Poachie bought me a jigsaw puzzle made from the photo I took of Sheffield Park which I thought was such a lovely gift! Clever sausage.

Last year I went mushroom hunting as I wanted to find the red headed funghi but alas I couldn't see them.

It does get so busy as its a popular place but its still calm enough to enjoy a slow paced wander on a Sunday afternoon.

You have to time your visit just right as if you visit too early then the leaves haven't started to change but if you leave it too late then the leaves have dropped!

I love pampas grass. Despite it being a calling card for certain types of parties in the 70s, its great for making wreaths and placing the stems in vases.

I wish I had a better camera as the reflections from the lake and the colours haven't really been brought to life here.

There are lots of friendly ducks and more trees than you can shake a stick at...

Couldn't resist a terrible joke! There are four lakes here in total but my favourite is the first lake as it is the most scenic. Don't get me wrong, as stunning as it is in Autumn its a fabulous place to visit all year round.

Bravo National Trust!
