Boots by the back door

Hello June!

After a wonderful six months of lockdown living in Mayfield , Mr Poachie has moved in with me officially to the Ashdown Forest. We knew Mayfield was only a temporary living arrangement and as gorgeous as it was, I'm happy to be neighbours again with Winnie the Pooh.

Despite the lockdown rules now being lifted so that we can visit outdoor gardens, I might wait a while before I rush out to visit any of them. I think they will all be hellishly busy and also I feel it is too soon. Plus with the garden at home and wine in the fridge I dont feel the need to go very far...

This house is utterly charming. I think it could turn even the most die hard city slicker into a green fingered country bumpkin.

It is filled to the brim with antiques and old books.

I might have to start reading all the classics.

The house is perfect for a photoshoot. It is the kind of setting that I could imagine Country Living using in one of their magazines so for the rest of lockdown I will be practising my photography in the house and the grounds and prancing about like Elizabeth Bennett.

You have been warned!
