A girls trip to Herstmonceux

Last year some girlfriends and I took a little trip to Herstmonceux. I hadn't heard of it before but after a little research it turns out there is a lot to do! It was such a fun weekend, one where you don't stop laughing and it was filled with fun activities. 

I had always wanted to visit Lime Cross Nursery as I knew that they hosted wild swimming and yoga events. Thankfully the weather was playing ball when we went but damn that water was so cold!

I then also discovered that you can rent out the cottage which is on the Lime Cross nursery property so we would only have a short stroll to our morning dip. Winning!

No visit to Herstmonceux would be complete without a trip to the castle. It was enormous and made the castles in Kent look a bit pathetic!

As it was a girly weekend away we obviously had to book in some pamper time, there was a local salon that we all had massages at. In truth, I'm not a huge fan of massages. I can never relax or get comfy.

Before visiting the castle we also behaved like little kids at the science centre. You wouldn't have thought we were in our 30's giggling away at the massive telescopes and running around the playground trying to use all of the equipment.

Girls trips are a must in my book, they don't happen enough but they always leave me with achy sides from laughing so much and usually a massive hangover.
