The Pig at Harlyn Bay

I am going to write a list of 40 things I want to do before I am 40.

Visiting all of The Pig hotel's is one of those things. For anyone who has read my blog before will know that I have previously visited The Pig in the New ForestThe Pig near Bath and also The Pig at Bridge so now I only have 3 left to see! Unless the litter gets bigger...

We hadn't planned to visit The Pig in Cornwall, it was a last minute decision once I realised it was close to where we were visiting and thankfully I was able to book a table at the lobster shed on a sunny evening.

I adore the Pig hotels, I love the décor I just feel my most fabulous self. Mr Poachie however isn't so keen on it. Truth be told, on our last visit we did have to end up making a complaint which I won't go into but whilst I have forgiven the mishap, he has not.

We arrived early so I wanted to have a snoop around the grounds and inside so I could take some photo's if you would like to see...

It was just before the dinner rush so the place was near enough empty! Which meant I could get some good snaps of the laid tables.

I want whoever did the styling for these hotels to come and style my home. I cannot express how much I love it! Now that the seasons have started to change it makes me want to buy lots of things for the home to make it extra cosy. New cushions and bedspreads and candles, its the best thing to get cosy.

I suffer from SAD so I am going to buy some of the special light bulbs to see if that helps too, I was reading an article recently about people who don't produce enough melatonin and it said it was important to get as much natural sunlight as possible and to avoid phones at night time. I might write a separate post about it as it might be helpful (and it has nothing to do with this blog post!).

Being by the seaside I obviously wanted more fishy sups, I adore seafood so I was pleased when they had a dressed crab on the menu. It was really delicious, I prefer crab to lobster as its less fiddly and its tastier although I always find it gives me bad breath?! Thank goodness for breath mints.

How gorgeous is this room? I actually don't think chesterfields are that comfy but they sure look sexy.

So once again, I had a super visit. I'm thinking that if we do another staycation next year I would like to spend a week in Devon and I know they have a pig  nearby so perhaps I can persuade Mr Poachie that we should pop in.
