Bateman's

Ahhh the home of Rudyard Kipling (not to be confused with Mr Kipling who made exceedingly good cakes) Bateman's is a delight!

I particularly like Bateman's as they have beautiful gardens, a kitchen garden, a mill and a wonderful library.

Located in the weald of Sussex, the neighbouring views are pretty fantastic as well.

It's also quite close to Perch Hill and Bodiam Castle so usually we tie it on to make the most out of our day.

I'm not sure I have ever visited here in the summer but I'm sure its gorgeous all year round.

I really can't wait for retirement so I can spend my days wandering around garden centres and NT places. I know you shouldn't wish your life away but work gets in the way off all the fun things that I want to do!

I guess I really just have to try to make the most out of every weekend.

Thankfully Mr Poachie loves to do the same things as me which is such a relief as I would be spending a lot of time alone!
