40 things before I’m 40
I love writing lists. I write them most days to keep me organised and I like the feeling of achievement when you tick them off. I’m naturally quite a lazy person but it motivates me to get all my jobs done, life admin, exercise if I write it down.
I have previously talked about my ‘Live the life you love’ list which is something I wrote a few years ago and have been adding to and crossing off ever since. It’s not really a bucket list as some of the items on there are as non significant as a coffee shop I want to visit but I think it is important to get it on paper (or iPhone notes whatever you prefer) and then you can make sure it gets ticked off.
When Mr Poachie and I started dating I shared this list with him and he has made a massive dent in it! We have had a lot of good dates and he tries to make sure that we go and visit the places I have always wanted to see. I have been very lucky to have done a lot of travel in my life and seen some incredible places but I have no desire to slow down or stop!
I turned 35 in June and I thought it might be fun to combine this list I already have and write something more that I can hopefully achieve over the next five years.
Like I said, It doesn’t have to be bungee jumps and whale watching in New Zealand. This list should only be genuine to what you want to do. As I’m not an adrenaline junkie my list will be much more about European travel and restaurants I want to please my belly at. I do have life goals (be happy) and personal achievements (have one of my photos used by Conde Nast) but this is more about life experiences.
