Bank holiday brunch date

Over the summer holibobs, Mr Poachie and I haven't gone on nearly enough dates! With the combination of lockdown and taking his kids out for sups on BoJo's 'Eat out to help out' incentives, we didn't leave much time for us to do anything as a couple.

I was away with the girls for the first part of the bank holiday weekend but I had booked a table for Mr Poachie and I to have brunch on the BH Monday as I really wanted to go to The Beacon

Now I have been here soooooooooooo many times over the years for weddings and work parties but it has recently changed hands and the I'll be Mother group must have spent some serious cash money on it because it is B E A Utiful!

It reminded me a lot of The Pig hotels as the attention to detail was spot on. The service was fantastic and the weather was on our side as we sat outside with the glorious view!

We both ordered poachies and campachoochoo's, with the BoJo discount, breakfast was only £10!!

It really is the most gorgeous setting,  their new garden bar is a fabulous addition to the main part of the building. I had initially wanted to go for lunch as the menu offered burrata and pesto salad and seared halloumi with melon, OMG drool! But the only table I could get was at 11am-12pm and I didn't want people to judge me for drinking white wine at that time of day! Even 11am is too early for me.

So I shall have to go back, what a shame....

Those views!

Very cool plant decor.

This was the reception which was so deliciously scented I wanted to sit in there for an hour.

I honestly cannot wait to go back!!
