Kew Gardens

How amazing is Kew Gardens

I cant believe it took me so long to visit. I remember watching a particularly gripping episode of 'Rosemary & Thyme' which was filmed in the Palm House and that was it, on the 'live the life you love' list it went!

I don't even know where to start this blog post as there was so much to see and do. I took THOUSANDS of photos and when I look back I don't actually think any of them are that good, maybe its because it is so hard to capture the magic of Kew.

Mr Poachie loves a Japanese garden. He is mad about bamboo and I think he likes the neatness of it all.

I prefer a wild garden with mazes and statues and water features.

Inside the Palm houses the humidity made my hair massive, any curly haired girl will understand this. It felt like a tropical climate, like when you land somewhere exotic on your holibobs.

I couldn't believe the scale of the plants. We have some of these plants at home and just couldn't believe that our plant babies might one day be this big!

I have read before that there are lily pads so large in the Amazon rainforest that you can sit on them.

This was taken from the treetop walkway.

I really want to go back to Kew, perhaps when it is in bloom so I can take another few thousand photos. Thank the lord for icloud extra storage.

Green is my absolute favourite colour so you can imagine the gasps and squarks of wonder that I made when being surrounded by these magnificent beasts.

It felt Jurassic.

You definitely need a whole day here. There was so much to see and explore. I'm not even sure if we did see it all on our visit.

Luckily they have lots of café pit stops to keep you going.

Being inside the dry hot climate where the cactus's grow was cool, its how I imagine Arizona to be.

Look how big they are!

It was such a fantastic day!
