Wild Iris spa retreat

I recently visited the dreamy Wild Iris Spa and just had to share the visit with you. They were running a January offer which included a 30 minute back massage followed by a 30 minute facial for only £68! The treatment list here is slightly eye watering so I called some girlfriends and we got booked in one Saturday morning.

The salon is small and located on what looks like an eco estate. We weren't able to book our treatments at the same time so we arrived in staggered hours and I was first so I took myself for coffee at Birchwood next door before my treatments. 

Despite arriving at 9am, the cafe was packed! I managed to snag a sofa seat to enjoy my coffee but it would definitely be worth booking a table next time I return. The food looks really good.

Its also worth mentioning that as a spa customer, you dont have to pay for parking, pop into the salon and they will give you a permit to put in your car.

As soon as you are inside the salon, you are greeted by a wonderful scent and a smiling receptionist. I left my coat and shoes downstairs and was taken upstairs to the relaxation room before my massage.

The relaxation room is small but cozy with two futons and very bouji decor. I read some mindfulness books for a few minutes before I was greeted by my massage lady and shown to the room, again wafting wonderful smells.

Both of my treatments were lovely, I was given a hot water bottle for my feet and wrapped up in towels (I'm always cold so this was lovely on a chilly January morning). Post treatment I went back to the relaxation room where my friends were now waiting for their treatments, and I was brought a pot of herbal tea.

The whole experience was so good, I really want to do something like this maybe once a month as I think its important to unwind but I must say, whilst I was happy with the price I paid, I think if I had paid the usual price for the treatments I would have felt a bit out of pocket. Its not a spa, so there is no pool, sauna etc. If you are looking for a friendly, cozy salon then definitely look out for the offers here!
