A garden full of roses

Roses aren't necessarily my favourite flower, but that doesn't mean I'm going to miss out on Emmetts rose festival! They are simply too gorgeous to not spend an afternoon in their splendid aroma.

I probably visited a week too early when I took these photos, the garden wasn't in full bloom but I did have it pretty much to myself which was lovely. When I visit this year (c'mon, you know I'm going back!) I want to spend some time just sitting and embracing the beauty of it and not just taking 1000's of photos, which of course I will do as well.

Emmetts garden sits at one of the highest points in Kent with beautiful views of the weald for as far as the eye can see. As well as this stunning rose garden, they offer wild flower meadows, a rock garden, a cafe and lots of walking opportunities. They are dog friendly which is great as I hate leaving Rosie behind.

Mr Poachie and I spent ages trying to capture me throwing my hat in the air which didn't really work and I kept losing my hat in the long grass. I am so grateful that he is patient and willing enough to put up with my photograph requests.

There are some occasions when I am like 'we are finished I have the shots I want' and then he suggests doing more, different angles etc. Maybe the scent of the roses went to his head and he was delirious.

But I love the pictures we got, in truth my hair was a complete tangle, I wear extensions and it was so hot this day it felt matted on the back of my neck, plus my dress was dirty. This is what I don't show you!
