Village scenes
Hi all!
This post is just going to be a photo dump from the last week or so. I have been trying to make the most of the summer whilst I can and as you know I can never resist taking photo's of cottages.
We have been dog sitting once a week which I love doing as it means I have a little companion all day and it forces me to go out for a walk. Since we have moved, I have been SO lazy and not gone out for my daily walks like I used to. So having the pooch here means I can get out for some fresh air and get my steps in.
I struggle with agoraphobia and some days I just cannot face leaving the house, it wasn't so bad living in the forest as we were in the middle of no-where and it was so rare to bump into anyone other than a fellow walker.
Even though we have only moved to a small village it feels a lot busier and I just get anxious about being out. I try to make myself do something each day though and have now joined a gym to keep my exercise going but I only really enjoy that when there is no-one else in there!
It's tricky but I am getting treatment for it.
Anyway, back to villages. These pictures are taken from a mixture of Penshurst, Chiddingstone and Groombridge. I adore them all, they are so picturesque and quaint. I really enjoy driving through the countryside and then having a little wander around the villages.
I keep seeing on social media things about Autumn and Christmas and I am just not ready for Summer to be over, I don't want to think about it! I also suffer with SAD , the Winter makes me feel claustrophobic and as much as I love the change in the seasons with the autumn colours and the fun and festivities of Christmas, I hate it getting dark at 4pm and I hate being cold!
The images of the house with the yellow door; I must have driven past this row of cottages 100 times but I never noticed the large spider on the door or the cats! I had to pull over and take a few snaps.
I'm not sure I would want to come home to my front door if that big spiddy was on it!
Sorry for the rambling post, no great content today, I just wanted to share these photo's!
