A summer cycle

August.

Doesn't it feel like a month of melancholy. The Summer evenings are drawing in, you know people are going to start talking about pumpkins and Halloween. The shops are selling big cosy sweaters. It makes me feel bittersweet. I am truly a Summer girl, I love the warmer months and the longer evenings but I do enjoy the Autumn but with that comes in the Winter and from January to April, I am not at my happiest!

So despite our terrible Summer, I have been trying to make the most of sunny, dry days and lighter evenings. I am really  lucky to have a great cycle path near where I live as I am not confident to cycle on these country roads.

I also wanted to shoot some content for Hill & Ellis which is one of my clients.

Mr Poachie and I cycled 10 miles enjoying the gorgeous views. Mr Poachie doesn't have a bike of his own but he uses Countrybike where you can hire them.

On our way back we saw this incredible field and I knew I had to take a moment to get some shots of Patsy. The evening light was perfect and I think the texture of the wheat fields makes for a good photograph.

It's a really lovely route to cycle, its flat as it's a disused railway and it takes you past fields of sheep and there are numerous tables/picnic benches to stop along the way if you want to.

When we got home, we headed to the pub for a pizza and a well deserved pint!

I am hoping to do as much cycling as I can whilst the evenings are light. I have noticed it is now dark by 8.30pm now. I love nice evenings at home, taking bubble baths and lighting candles I am just not ready for it yet!
