Deer Park Cafe

In a bid to get the most out of each day, and to take a break from our laptops Mr Poachie and I visited The Deer Park cafe for a cup of coffee on our lunch break.

Located in Eridge nestled between rolling fields, it is a rustic cafe that serves home made cakes and has a strong lunch menu.

With plenty of seating indoors and outside, it is dog friendly and family friendly. I have recently learnt that they are now also hosting evening events on Thursday's, Friday's and Saturdays which sounds great so we are going to go back!

I am ashamed to say I didn't get the joke written on the board, face palm.

They also have a campsite. The location for it is amazing, only a short drive from the local towns but it feels so far from anywhere.

We resisted the urge to indulge in a large brownie but we have eaten here before, the cakes really are very good.

The other reason that its fun to come here is the Forage & Fleur flower stall that is based here. Selling wonderful plants and homewares, its a dangerous patch to step into if you love that kind of thing!

I want to make more of an effort to get out each day. It is so easy to stay inside staring at your laptop. I feel so much more productive and energised even if its just a break for 30 mins. I do get lots of people still ask me if I am working (which I am, in fact I currently have three jobs!) because I post a lot on social media which I suppose makes it look like I am often out and about.

The truth is that I am home at my laptop but I have a content scheduler that posts automatically and I often batch produce content in advance. I am also that type of person who manages to take 30 photo's when I pop to the bakery, I have always been this way!

Happy Monday!
