Pashley Manor Gardens

At least once a year, usually in wisteria season, me and my darling friend Babushka as I affectionately call her, visit the beautiful Pashley Manor Gardens to get our flower-gasms going. Babushka and I met through work and immediately bonded over our love of the television series 'Rosemary & Thyme' and cheeky vino's with illicit ciggies.

For me, Pashley Manor gardens has all of the perfect ingredients for a great place to visit; kitchen gardens, lots of statues, a stunning house covered in wisteria, they sell great quiche and they have a lovely pond with a large weeping willow. Is it just me or does anyone else think weeping willow trees are really romantic? Anyhoo..

I think there's a family who actually lives here. How cool would that be? They only open their gardens up from April to the end of summer and then briefly over Christmas. The gift shop becomes a festive grotto full of and they serve mulled cider and mince pies; which is the only way I can persuade Mr Poachie to go with me.

I'll apologise now for the amount of photos. To be fair, I don't think I managed to capture all of the art and statues as they had so many.

In my dreamland I like to think that all the statues come to life at night and roam the gardens.

They often run events throughout the year, like kitchen garden week and tulip festivals etc.

Check out those chimneys!

Oh, and did I mention they have a pool?

The courtyard café.

I think this is Maleficent. Ruining the romantic vibes by the weeping willow a little. Spoil sport.

Every time I visit I tell myself I should learn how to be a gardener so I could work here.

Although, if I'm honest, I probably wouldn't end up doing much work. Maybe that's what these statues are; lazy ex employees.

Maybe its because it reminds me of Narnia that I love it so much?

This is the Shirley Bassey of front doors. So much fabulosity!

I really don't know what this birds problem was but it didn't like me, so we ran away.

This girl understood.

In true British fashion, just as we sat down to a cold glass of rose and a slice of quiche, it started to rain.

And in true British style, nobody moved!

This little fella was loving it.

So, I should probably leave it there but as you have probably guessed, I really it like it here. Check out their website https://www.pashleymanorgardens.com/
