Le Riad Yasmine

Ahhhh Marrakech, the land of apricots and plunge pools! And I am sure there is not a more famous plunge pool than the one at Le Riad Yasmine. It took me ages to find a riad that I liked the look of, I definitely wanted something traditional as Im not keen on large, all inclusive type hotels but as we went in February I was worried I would be cold at night (I am a granny in a young persons body) so I knew I wanted somewhere with some home comforts... hello Le Riad Yasmine! All of the reviews were excellent; I cant book a trip anywhere without doing hours of research (I am a granny nerd in a young persons body). Pinterest and Insta amped up my lust for wanting to stay at this dreamy place, I think the photo's say it all...

Rooftop vibes

All the staff were so friendly and helped us with restaurant bookings and sorting out our taxis. Breakfast was included in our stay which was a generous spread of yoghurts, breads, cakes, pancakes, cooked eggs, fresh juice and coffee.

Sadly, with a hotel that is insta famous, it does attract some bloggers and wannabes (ahem, yes like myself), we witnessed some 'photo shoots' that went on for ages! They have however closed the hotel to non guests as so many people were coming in just to take photos. The riad is small and very peaceful so we were grateful that, you could escape the noise from the city and rest your weary feet with a cold beer and be none the wiser of the mayhem outside!

I love Marrakech, this was my second visit and it had changed so much since my first visit but I would love to come back. This was my first trip abroad with Mr Poachie so it will always hold special memories for me.

As we booked this out of season we treated ourselves to the largest suite which was a really reasonable price and worth the money. As the riad only has 8 rooms I should imagine it gets booked up really quickly.

The hotel now also serves wine and beer which is great for a lush like me.

All in all it was a fabulous stay and I look forward to visiting in the future!
