Apple picking at Castle Farm

Castle Farm is somewhere that I will talk about a lot. It's famous for their gorgeous lavender fields which I visit each summer. They open up the fields to visitors and hold different events throughout the year. I've been lucky enough to have experienced a massage in the lavender fields, set up dreamy evening picnics, lavender wreath workshops, autumn wreath workshops, apple picking, they sell pumpkins, dried hop bines and at Christmas they have a wonderfully festive gift shop.

In short, it is my Disneyland.

At some point I will post about the lavender but this will be apple - specific.
I hope my Dr is reading this.

I think they did provide baskets to collect your apples but my girlfriends bought me an F&M tea hamper last year so I used that as my handbag for any occasion.

These apples are so red and juicy. I think even Snow White could be tempted by one.

The apples are Norfolk Royals, the best I have ever tasted.

We collected around 12 apples, I think originally I wanted apples to make a cake with but we ended up eating them all.

The orchard is big, it wasn't overly busy when we visited but there were plenty of apples to go around. They hold a few open weekends so check their website before visiting.

Gorgeous September scenes.

I obviously couldn't not buy some pumpkins as well.

I'm hoping I will be able to visit again this year...I wonder if the lockdown will permit it as its all outdoors. Fingers crossed as I will need my Castle Farm fix!
