Roses at Pashley Manor Gardens

Usually I visit Pashley Manor Gardens in the Spring, when the wysteria and the tulips are out but sadly I didn't get the chance to visit this year, so I made a note in my calendar to visit when the roses are out in June.

Historic House members get in for free but usually it is £14 for entry. Once inside this wonderland you are welcomed with the sweet smell of roses, a greenhouse, a lake, sprawling lawns and statues that I swear move around when you aren't looking.

There is also a wonderful cafe/tea room that serves the most amazing lunch. This is always a winner in my book.

I visited around the Summer solstice and it was a wonderfully warm day. The bees were out and the gardens felt so alive.

Despite its growing popularity, it never feels packed like the National Trust gets so it can feel like you have the gardens all to yourself. I really hope they don't start bringing coach loads of visitors in.

I have visited Pashley Manor so many times but I never get bored of it. I think it is dreamy and whilst the statues don't move themselves, the owners or the artists must move them as each time I visit they are in a new place.

There is also a lovely gift shop and nursery so you can purchase David Austin roses and other flowers to try and recreate the Pashley Manor magic in your garden.

Have you visited yet? You won't regret it!
