Living the dream

Do you ever have those moments where you realise you are actually living your life how you want to be living it?

Like most people, I have goals and lists of what I want to achieve, places I want to visit but I also had a strong idea about my lifestyle and since we have moved I realised it has all fallen into place rather wonderfully!

Moving to the countryside was the biggest step. It was also the hardest as it meant that I was no longer married but it was what my head and heart needed to recuperate from the mess I was in. Now I have settled into village life which is slow living at its finest. The novelty of popping down to the bakery or to the local pub hasnt worn off yet! In fact, I am looking forward to Autumn so that we can enjoy a pub roast after a long walk in the sticks.

I also dream of being a photographer and whilst that is not my main source of income right now, I am definitely on the path towards it becoming a possible change in career. This was a definite plus of being in lockdown as it gave me so much time to practice taking photo's and starting a blog. It also made my subject of what I love to photograph very clear, as I was surrounded by country gardens!

I'm in a very good place with Mr Poachie. We were sat watching the cricket yesterday and we talked about how wonderful it is to find someone you really connect with and I have been so blessed with his family accepting me and my crazy ways! I never thought I would date a man with children but so far so good, we spend alot of time together and its been really enjoyable.

Life isn't perfect though, I am still having therapy for some issues from my childhood but I am making progress and being proactive about trying to deal with these issues. It's been tough but I know it will be so beneficial once I come through to the other side so to speak.

The thing I am most excited about is...getting a puppy! I have wanted a dog for so long and we are now in the process of finding a reputable breeder so I am keeping everything crossed that it won't be too long to wait but we want to do it properly and not rush it. Eek! if you know of any good breeders (we are looking for a cockapoo or cavapoo) in Kent or East Sussex please let me know!
