Autumn walks with Bodega Bay

The turn of the seasons.

I am never quite ready to let go of Summer until I see the change in light, I start to appreciate apple season, I pack my summer linens away in exchange for comfy knits. I get excited to go pumpkin picking and looking at hearty one pot supper recipes to make.

The one thing I think I am most sad to leave behind though, is picnics. How I love throwing out the blanket and sprawling underneath a tree and spending the afternoon enjoying the sunshine and a good book.

It has been really mild this week so I thought why not do an Autumnal picnic? Bodega Bay kindly sent me some of their low alcohol, hard seltzer drinks for me to try so I thought I would take some with me in case I got thirsty...

Just up the road from me is this amazing corn field. I'm not sure why it hasn't been harvested but it made for the perfect place to take little Rosie out for a sniff and I could enjoy a little al fresco refreshments.

Bodega Bay is made with sparkling water, crafted clear alcohol and no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. Each can contains just 73 calories and is only 4% but makes no compromises on the taste! I was sent two different flavours, apple with Ginger & Açai Berry and Elderflower with Lemon & Mint

Both are very refreshing and felt almost guilt free! It's hard to believe it is alcoholic as it is so light.

For some it might be a good alternative to a G&T.

I was trying to think of a good alternative for a picnic blanket to take with me and I settled on my sheepskin rug and now I realise it must have looked like I was carrying a very small moses basket!

Thankfully I didn't see any other dog walkers on my route and Rosie didn't pee on it, huzzah!

Walking with Rosie has been so wonderful, she can only walk for 20 minutes at a time but I love seeing her grow in confidence and go and explore. She is still on the lead but we bought her a long extending one so that she has some freedom.

Bodega Bay is available from leading supermarkets and the thing I love most about it is that they donate 1% of all their sales to the Thirst Project, which brings clean drinking water to people in need across 13 countries worldwide.

Just remember though that it IS alcohol and to drink responsibly.

Cheers!
