Pashley Manor Gardens Tulip festival

For anyone who has been following my blog for a while, will know how much I absolutely adore visiting Pashley Manor Gardens, especially when the house is covering in wisteria.

I recently visited during the tulip festival and it was fantastic. Kudos to the gardeners here as it is really the most incredible display.

It is very well managed and manicured but it doesn't feel overly formal like some gardens do. Perhaps this is due to the superb placement of statues and sculptures in the gardens.

Each time I have visited, the statues are never in the same place and it does feel a little like once you turn your back they might spring into a new position across the lawn.

One of the other reasons I enjoy visiting here so much is for the cafe, they put on a superb lunch of quiches, fresh salads and cake. If you do intend to visit, allow yourself a few hours to explore and enjoy the culinary delights.

Located in East Sussex, not far from the picturesque village of Ticehurst, there is parking onsite as well as a gift shop and they also sell flowers. Entry is £13 per adult or free if you are a Historic House member.

The grounds include a lake, a Victorian greenhouse, a swimming pool, bee hives, winding pathways which divide up the flowering borders and much more.

Throughout the year they run different open days such as Roses week, Kitchen garden week, dahlia days.. head to their website to see what is coming up.

I believe the sculptures in the garden are from local artists and some are for sale. I'm really fond of a garden statue, I think it gives the place such character.

I am sure I will be back at some point later on in the year, I like to squeeze the most out of our precarious British summers as you never really know how long it will last!
